Welcome to Quinta Vale da Roca, a boutique hotel and vineyard set on a cliff inside the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, opening straight onto the Atlantic. A family of Portuguese architects first made it their home; over time, they opened a few rooms to guests and, later still, planted vines of their own. Today, new owners carry that initial vision forward, keeping the spirit of the place intact. Beneath the estate, sandy, salt-touched soil gives Colares its rare terroir, and gives every glass poured here a taste of the ocean it grew beside.
Location
Quinta Vale da Roca sits in Azóia, Colares, between the Sintra Mountains and the ocean. Here, the grapes grow in sandy soil, cradled by the ocean breeze and the Atlantic climate. With open sea views stretching from every room, the hotel offers guided tours of the vineyard and winery, as well as tastings of the wines produced on site.
