The grounds of Quinta Vale da Roca had been in the family of its original founders for generations. A couple of local Portuguese architects who inherited the property first made it their private home, later adding a few hotel rooms and guest houses so others could enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. The vineyard came years later, reflecting their passion for wine. Sailing was another love of theirs, and eventually they decided to pass the Quinta to another family so they could devote more time to the seas.
A New Chapter
The new family took over Quinta in 2025, bringing fresh energy and a modern touch while preserving the heart and soul of this special estate. They are developing the wines and carefully transforming Quinta Vale da Roca into a contemporary retreat, a place for locals to gather for events and wine experiences, and for guests from around the world to relax, connect with nature, and savour the spirit of this unique property.
