Nestled in Azóia, the westernmost village of continental Europe, Quinta Vale da Roca is located in the Natural Park of Sintra-Cascais, in between these two towns. Here, vineyards meet the Atlantic, with the Sintra hills rising in the distance and the cliffs of Cabo da Roca only a short drive away.
The setting is peaceful and rural. From the estate, you can reach wild beaches, historic palaces, coastal viewpoints and the lively towns of Cascais and Estoril with ease. Lisbon is also less than an hour away by car, making Quinta Vale da Roca a convenient base for exploring the region at your own pace.
The estate is also connected to walking routes through Azóia and the surrounding hills. A trail passes through the property, making the Quinta a natural stop for hikers travelling between Cabo da Roca, Peninha, the Sintra mountains and the vibrant coastline.
How to Get Here
From Lisbon Airport, follow the A1/A12 and then the A5 towards Cascais. After Cascais, take the N247 towards Colares, Azóia and Cabo da Roca. Continue through the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park to Rua Casal Farripas 8. The journey takes around 45 minutes. Free private parking is available on site.
Taxi, Uber and Bolt services can take you directly to Quinta Vale da Roca from your chosen departure point. Journey times and availability depend on traffic, season and demand. If you are visiting without a car, it is advisable to arrange your return journey in advance.
Take a train from Lisbon to either Cascais or Sintra. From the station, continue by taxi, ride-hailing service or bus towards Cabo da Roca and Azóia. As the train only covers part of the journey, check connections in advance and allow extra time for the final leg.
Take bus 1624 from Cascais or Sintra towards Cabo da Roca. Get off before reaching the village of Azóia and follow the road signs to Quinta Vale da Roca. Bus services may be less frequent outside peak periods, so check the latest timetable before travelling.
